January Amazon Round-Up
Hey friends! Happy January 97th! I don’t know how it happened, but time got away from me and I took an unplanned extended break from the blog, but I’m BACK! I’ve got a ton of new posts coming your way and I’m so excited to finally be feeling inspired to write blog posts and create content again! When I was trying to come up with content ideas and inspiration, I thought a lot about the types of posts that I personally find most interesting, and being the nosey person I am, I love to see hauls and random round-up post, whether they’re grocery hauls, or clothing hauls! I’ve decided that I’m going to start doing a monthly Amazon Prime round-up to share what we’ve ordered in the past month, what we liked, what we didn’t, why we ordered it, etc. I love seeing posts like this, and have found a ton of great products that I would not have otherwise found through watching/reading other people’s Amazon hauls, so I hope you like these types of posts as much as I do!
Amazon Basics Down Alternative King Size Pillows: We have always had queen sized pillows, but this past week I picked up a new duvet cover at Target and it came with king sized pillow shams, and the queen size pillows just were not cutting it. We ordered these ones because they were the cheapest ones available, and we don’t really care about comfort with these since they’re going to be mostly decorative. For the price, they’re absolutely perfect, and honestly even though we don’t plan on sleeping with them they feel like they would be decently comfortable to sleep on, too!
Coop Homegoods Adjustable Memory Foam Pillow: This is actually the second one of these pillows that we’ve ordered! Jerry had one and I kept stealing it, so we finally ordered one for me, too! These are honestly such comfortable pillows, and I like that you can adjust their fill so they should work for you no matter what position you sleep in. I highly recommend this pillow, it is by far one of the most comfortable pillows I’ve ever slept on, and it has amazing reviews!
Fullstar Mandoline Slicer: I think I’m honestly outing myself in this post as being really, really boring. Because these are the kinds of things I get excited about. I bought this to slice sweet potatoes in order to make sweet potato toasts, but all of the attachments slice too thinly for that, however, I still love it! I’ve been using it to slice cucumbers and make sweet potato spirals so far, but I’ve only had it for a couple of days, so I’m excited to play with it and see what else I can use it for!
50 Pack Meal Prep Containers: On top of being boring, I’m also really lazy. I hate cleaning my kitchen, and I hate cooking for just one person. So, since Jerry has been working later lately, I’ve decided to start meal prepping things like chicken, chopped veggies, eggs, etc. in advance in order to make dinners and lunches easier when I’m cooking for just me, encourage myself to eat healthier and avoid having an excuse to order postmates. So far it’s worked like a charm. These aren’t necessarily the cutest in your fridge, but they’re a great size and such an affordable price!
Hair Styling Organizer: We have ZERO counter space in our bathroom and Jerry is constantly getting after me for leaving my curling iron out and hogging the v small amount of space that we do have, so we ordered this in hopes that it will help! My excuse is that I can’t put the curling iron back in the cabinet when it’s still hot, obviously. So I think this should help a ton! It just came in today so I haven’t had the chance to use it yet, but I’ll keep ya posted on Insta stories!
Step Stool: Not gonna waste time explaining or reviewing this one because it’s pretty self explanatory, but I’m including everything we bought this month so here it is.
Amazon Fire Stick: We bought this to plug into the projector in our bedroom! We chose to go with this one because we didn’t want to have to worry about hiding cords.
8. Simple Modern 32 Oz Water Bottle: I am OBSESSED with this water bottle! I bought it because I lost my hydro flask in the move and kept finishing my smaller water bottle halfway through my cycle class, which left me dying for the second half. This works JUST as well as my old hydro flask did for half the price, and it is sooo much cuter! I carry it with me everywhere now, and my daily water intake has increased a ton since I bought it!
9. Simple Modern Chug Sports Lid: I bought this to go with my water bottle because the reviews said that the straw lid it came with had a tendency of leaking. It also came with a basic wide mouth lid, and I know myself well enough to know that if I tried to drink out of the wide mouth bottle during a cycle class I would end up spilling the water all over myself. This lid is PERFECT! It’s secure enough that I can throw it in my bag and not worry about it leaking at all, it has the perfect size opening, and I love that it comes in a ton of different color options!
10. Food Scale: One of my goals this year is to get into the best shape I’ve ever been in, and to do that I’ve been keeping better track of my portion sizes. Sometimes they’re measured in Oz and not cups, so I use the scale! Again, kind of a boring purchase, but still thought I’d share!
11. Batiste Dry Shampoo: This is hands down my favorite dry shampoo! I actually have this as a recurring monthly order, and it’s so nice not to have to think about running out, because it’s such a big size that the new one usually comes right before I run out of the old one.
12. Dyson Flexible Extension Attachment: See 13
13. Dyson Animal Cordless Vacuum Cleaner: This is probably the purchase I am most excited about! I haven’t used this specific model, but I’ve used a friends Dyson cordless in the past so I already know I am going to LOVE it! Our big vacuum just wasn’t working for us in our small apartment, so we decided to invest in something a little more convenient for daily use in order to cut down on the amount of dog hair on literally everything we own (I swear, it’s worse than glitter!). We bought two attachments for it, and I’m not sure we meant to, so we may end up sending one of them back but I wanted to include them both in here because this literally a round up of EVERYTHING we bought this month.
14. Dyson Quick Release Extension Attachment: See 13
15. Kurgo Dog Jacket: It gets really cold here, so we ordered Euler a jacket for walks! We originally ordered the large and it was a bit big for him, so I actually sent it back yesterday and we’re currently waiting on the medium, but the quality of it was great so I can tell it will be perfect once we have the right size!
16. Self Cleaning Pet Hair Remover Brush: Because we have dog hair everywhere, on literally everything we own. It’s a problem. This has been a game changer. We use it on our clothes. On our couch. On our bed. On literally EVERYTHING. I love that it comes with a small portable one, and it is so nice that it’s so easy to clean!
17. ColorfulKoala High Waisted Pattern Legging: I’ve been looking for cute, affordable leggings to wear to the gym because now that I’m actually going and sweating, I’m going through leggings like crazy every week. I ordered these because they had amazing reviews, and from my first impression, I LOVE them! They are really soft and so comfortable, it feels like I’m not wearing pants. I also LOVE how high waisted they are! I prefer wearing just high waisted leggings with sports bras at the gym because I feel like shirts can get in the way sometimes (and they’re one more thing to buy and wash), so I like my leggings to be SUPER high waisted so I that I can just wear a sports bra and not feel exposed. I haven’t actually had a chance to wear them to the gym yet because they just came in today, but I’ll test them out at the gym tomorrow morning and update you guys on stories! If they’re as good as I think they’ll be, I’m about to order like 5 more pairs! I bought the green camo ones, but the next ones on my list are the black camo and the leopard!
18. Headband 6 Pack: If you follow me on stories, you’ve already seen these! I ordered them about a week ago and have been wearing them nonstop! They look way more expensive than they are, and they just add to every outfit! I’m also super impressed at the quality for the price!
19. Dog Poop Bags: I feel like I don’t really need to explain this one. Euler poops. A lot. And these were cheap.
What was your favorite Amazon purchase this month? I always love seeing and hearing what other people have bought and loved, whether it’s fashion, home, or whatever else! Have you bought/tried any of the things I ordered this month? I’d love to hear how you liked it!
XOXO,
Olivia
