7 Affordable Rosé Wines to Try This Summer!
It’s no secret that I LOVE wine, especially Trader Joe’s wine. I’m not the biggest white wine drinker (unless it’s sparkling/champagne), I’m typically more of a a red gal, but during the hot summer months when red feels a bit too heavy I love a good dry rosé! Today I’m sharing 7 of my favorite affordable rosés, perfect for a picnic in the park or sipping on your patio or rooftop with your girlfriends! To make things extra easy, all 5 rosés can be found at your local Trader Joe’s.
Summer Water Rosé
Summer Water is a great go-to rosé because it’s dry, light and perfectly crisp. It’s the perfect easy drinking summer wine, and tends to be a huge crowd pleaser. It’s been a hit amongst every group of friends I’ve shared it with, and it doesn’t hurt that the bottle is cute, too!
Mulderbosch Rosé
Mulderbosch, a vegan, South African wine was a new Trader Joe’s find that I picked up because it was said to be a staff favorite, and it did not disappoint. I tried it last night, and loved it. It’s medium bodied and still on the dry side, but slightly less dry than Summer Water. It has flavors of berries (I taste a lot of strawberry) and pomegranate with a nice clean finish. This rosé will definitely be a regular buy for me this summer!
The Palm, by Whispering Angel
I’ll be completely honest and admit that I 100% bought this because the bottle was cute, but I actually really liked it. The Palm a great easy drinking rosé— bright, fresh, fruity and perfect for a hot summer day!
Beach Juice Rosé
Beach Juice is one of my most frequently purchased rosés, because I just love how easy and portable it is! It’s easy to throw in your bag for a picnic at the park or on the beach or throw a koozie on and bring it with you on your nightly dog walks. We actually even brought some cans with us last week when we went to Coney Island! Just beware… one can is a half a bottle of wine. So do not drink them the same way you would drink a beer. Been there, done that. Do not suggest it. 😂
Ile De Conas Le Rosé
This is another one that I bought specifically for the bottle that turned out to actually be really good! While I actually did love the wine, I am seriously obsessed with the bottle. It has a glass cork, so it’s re-useable, AND the brand even thought to make the stickers with the logo and stuff removable so when you’re done you just have this gorgeous floral glass bottle with no logos or anything on it that you can fill with water, bulk cocktails to-go, or whatever else you’re in the mood for. I can’t find this one online, so I think it may be exclusive to Trader Joe’s, but I’m not 100% sure!
Mionetto Rosé
When I saw this six pack of mini sparkling rosés at Trader Joe’s last week, I knew they were a must! We tried them this weekend, and they were so good and refreshing (I’d say flavor wise they’re a level up from the cans, but the cans still serve an important purpose as these aren’t quite as portable/beach appropriate). They were perfect for our rooftop wine and charcuterie day, and so cute, too! I think these are such a fun buy for any kind of event and you’re planning on throwing this summer— think bachelorette party, garden party, etc. Just throw them in a cooler next to a cup of pretty paper straws to sip them with, or set one at each individual place setting for something cute, fun and festive.
St. Sagnol Rosé
This one is another one I have been buying for years and have gotten multiple friends hooked on! It’s affordable, light and crisp, perfect for sipping by the pool or on a patio on a 90 degree summer day. The bottle is also super cute! I know we’re definitely starting to see a theme here— cute bottles 🤣. I can’t help it, I am an absolute sucker for a pretty label, but I also read the descriptions and ask the staff about them a lot of the time, so it usually ends up working out and being pretty good!
