NYC Travel Guide: Dog Friendly NYC
If you follow my blog and Instagram, then you probably know by now that we have a 10 month old Border Collie puppy, Euler (pronounced Oiler). Border Collies have INSANE amounts of energy, so when we can we try to take him wherever we go because we feel bad leaving him home alone. This means we sometimes even take him on trips with us! Because of this, whenever we travel we try to find places with dog friendly patios or even dog friendly food options (because he's way too spoiled!).
If you saw my first NYC Travel Guide post, I talked about a dog friendly bar we found! This was actually the second dog friendly bar that we've been to while we've been here, and I'm talking about all of the fun, dog friendly places we found on our first day in the city!

Court Street Grocers is a little grocery store/sandwich shop right next to DO. We actually didn't stop in, because we didn't know anything about it, but I looked it up when I was posting this picture the other day and I really wish we had gotten the chance to go inside! The sandwiches looked amazing! It's definitely on our list of places to eat next time we visit.
So, because we all know I'm basic AF, I made it one of my goals on the first day to stop at DÅ, a cafe that serves all kinds of edible cookie dough that has been blowing up on social media this year. While DO itself isn't dog friendly, they do sell Doggie Dough and have benches right across the street, so you can run inside and grab some cookie dough for yourself and your pup and head across the street to enjoy! I got the "Unicorn" cookie dough, Jerry got the "Nuts for Nuts" cookie dough, and Euler obviously got doggie dough. One thing that I will say is that the dough is super rich, and Jerry and I both wish we had chosen one and split it instead of each getting our own. Neither of us were able to finish it and we felt so bad having to throw half of it away! Euler on the other hand completely devoured his!

After our cookie dough, we were hungry so we headed across the street to Favela Cubana because they had lunch specials and a super cute looking patio! We did have to tie euler up on the outside of the patio, but we sat right next to the gate so he was still close enough to steal our food. Jerry ordered the Ropa Vieja and a mojito, and I'm the worst and ordered a burger and fries at a cuban restaurant because it was only $13 and came with a draft beer. I will say, the fries were some of the best I've had in a while!

Next up, we went to Lucky Dog. Lucky Dog is a bar in Williamsburg that allows dogs, has a super fun, friendly atmosphere and amazing drinks. We found this place when we were here for Thanksgiving, and it has quickly become our favorite spot in NYC. They don't serve food (which is why they can have a bunch of dogs walking around!) but they don't care if you order food to eat there! We ordered postmates again, and had Meatball Shop delivered. Jerry got the pesto meatball sandwich, and I got the parmesan cream meatball sandwich-- both were amazing!
As far as drinks go, you really can't go wrong. First we got Margaritas, which were great and super strong, and then we switched to Fire Cider, which is cider mixed with a shot of fireball. It basically tastes like apple pie! Euler loves Lucky Dog because there's always a bunch of other dogs for him to play with. They also have an old school jukebox, so you can play whatever you want!
Do you have any favorite dog friendly spots in NYC? I'd love to add them to my list for next time!
XOXO,
Olivia
