Favorite outfits of 2014
So I'm a little behind on this one, but today I figured it was finally time to talk about my favorite outfits of 2014. Yay! Sorry I've been so bad about posting (this is only my second post-- whoops) but I promise I'll be better about it now that I'm getting back into the swing of things and am (mostly) unpacked from my trip home for the holidays. Mostly. I somehow managed to pack two huge suitcases (and a backpack) for a two week trip. Not to mention that I needed another bag on top of that to bring everything back-- I have a problem.
Okay, enough rambling, let's get to the point. Favorite outfits of 2014.

This first one I wore to a music festival here in Nashville called Live on The Green, so the goal was to be slightly more whimsical than I normally dress. However crop tops and kimonos are two of my favorite trends of 2014. Wow, I miss being (somewhat) tan.
Kimono: Fancesca's
Crop Top: Forever 21
Shorts: Urban Outfitters
Shoes: Charlotte Russe

This outfit is pretty simple, but I chose it as one of my favorite outfits of 2014 because I am absolutely obsessed with this sweater dress. I love it because it is so simple and you can dress it up or dress it down depending on where you are going, not to mention it is one of the softest things I have ever owned. Probably one of my favorite purchases of the year, if I'm being honest. Paired with a statement necklace and some riding boots, it made the perfect pumpkin patch outfit-- looking like fall, but not being to hot for the weird 80 degree October weather we were having that day. (:
Necklace: Francesca's
Dress: Francesca's
Boot Socks: Francesca's
Riding Boots: Sam Edelman - Nordstroms

This outfit was actually from finals week, believe it or not. I tend to dress up on the days after I pull all nighters to distract myself from how tired I actually am. It also might have to do with the fact that putting together outfits in my head is a great form of procrastination… This outfit was the first time I experimented with the whole sweater over collared shirt thing.
Flannel: Abercrombie and Fitch
Sweater: Francesca's
Leggings: Francesca's
Fur Vest: Francesca's
Shoes: Charlotte Russe

This outfit was one of my favorites from my trip home for the holidays, and I wore it to go to Seattle with my family. Does the sweater dress look familiar? Like I said, one of the most versitile pieces I own. It was surprisingly warm for December in Seattle, so this was the perfect amount of layers.
Scarf: Made with love, by my mom…
Peacoat: I've had this forever, I'm not actually sure where I got it. I think Macy's? I know the brand is Hydraulics
Sweater Dress: Francesca's
Tights: Walgreens (they surprisingly have great tights!)
Shoes: Payless!

Okay, last one, I promise! This one was my Christmas Eve outfit. I honestly tried on like 10 different things before I finally decided on one, but I'm happy with the way it turned out. I liked the combo of the black and white with a pop of color from the necklace, and how the leopard print, though unexpected, totally worked with the red. (:
Side note, I have no idea why this picture is moving, or how I even got it to do that, but I'm really excited about it. I didn't even know this was a thing until I started looking for pictures to upload for this post. Will I ever be able to do it again? Probably not.
Shirt: Francesca's (can you tell I work there? lol)
Skirt: Nordstroms BP
Tights: Walgreens
Shoes: Payless
Necklace: I borrowed it from my sister, and actually am not sure where it's from, sorry!
